Year after year, hundreds of veterans are released from the army (and lately, even while on active reserve duty), ready to make the leap from the battlefield to a civilian career. The Israeli High Tech sector—the celebrated Startup Nation—poses real challenges for soldiers without proper experience or professional networks. At Kravi Tech, we’re convinced that those who put their lives on the line for our country deserve a fair shot. That’s why we harness the unique qualities veterans develop during service—leadership, grit, and persistence—to drive their success at the market.

Personalized Mentoring: We pair each veteran with an experienced high‑tech professional for one‑on‑one guidance.

Field Support: A dedicated team of 25 volunteer coordinators ensures every veteran navigates the transition with confidence.

Kravi-Tech is a project of immense importance, working to bridge gaps, advance, and strengthen combat veterans by connecting them with Israel's leading industries. Only combat veterans can truly understand the difficulties and challenges faced by their fellow soldiers. For me, there's no greater satisfaction than being able to contribute and help my brothers and sisters in arms using the experience I've gained in the industry over the years.

Our active-duty and reserve soldiers dedicate themselves to our nation. Our responsibility is to support them when they need us. With personal guidance, professional mentorship, a listening ear, and a desire to help, we assist many reservists in integrating into the High Tech market after hundreds of days of reserve duty. The experience I've gained in the industry translates into the success of these soldiers, and it's truly a great pleasure to see them flourish and succeed.

Even today, after almost 16 years in the industry, I feel my network is smaller than those who came from technology units. Kravi-Tech allows us to help individuals at the beginning of their careers who lack the right connections and the right unit background.

Kravi-Tech gives us — the seniors in the industry — an opportunity to give a little back to the soldiers who are sacrificing so much during such a critical period in their careers. My mentee did all the hard work; I was just there to show him what the recruitment process looks like from the other side, how to phrase himself in interviews, and provide other small tips needed at the start of his journey.

The Kravi-Tech process is amazing and incredibly helpful for reservists. On the mental level: Being matched with a mentor from the industry who had a relatively similar career path to mine provided inspiration and a goal to strive for. It also created a safe space where I could discuss challenges and learn from job search setbacks, giving me a sense of 'team' when facing the daunting task of finding employment. On the practical level: My mentor outlined a framework for how to successfully prepare for job interviews, motivated me, and truly instilled in me a sense of capability. Alongside all this, the weekly practice sessions led to incredible improvement. With the right mentor-mentee match, it's an amazing gift and a beacon of light throughout the entire process of returning to routine and finding a job as a student.

I want to sincerely thank Kravi-Tech for the initiative, and my mentor for his dedicated, serious, and caring mentorship and guidance. Oran supported me over the past few months, investing many hours and much thought into my mentoring process. He even submitted me for a position – and this week I started working at NVIDIA. To my heroic fellow combat veterans: We may not have come from a technological background, nor did we begin our studies during military service, but we carry with us a profound set of values and immense commitment. We are proud of the path we've chosen. It's possible we'll need to work harder, but we are ready for it. We have all the tools to succeed, and together, we can get there.
